GOAT WEAVING IS DIFFICULT

EXAMPLES: Ex35-26a Ex25-04d Ex26-07a
--------

BACKGROUND
----------
Ex25 speaks about the construction of the temple. Ex25-04
mentions some of the items donated for building the
temple.

THE TEXT
--------
Ex25-04 says that the following materials were brought
-------------------------------------
Blue, Purple, Crimson, flax and Goats
-------------------------------------

THE RASHI
---------
Rashi (Ex25-04d Ex25-07a) citing the Aramaic
translation says that
------------------------------------------------------------
GOATS does not refer to GOAT SKIN but WOVEN GOAT HAIR FABRIC
------------------------------------------------------------

THE RASHI METHOD
----------------
Rashi derived this from an OTHER VERSE, Ex25-36 which
explicitly states
--------------------------------------------------------
And those women with superior skills WOVE THE GOATS*13
--------------------------------------------------------

THE LIST
--------
Rashi further explains that WEAVING GOAT HAIR was especially
difficult. He infers this from the following alignment
VERSE PHRASE1 PHRASE2 PHRASE3
Ex35-25 every woman that was SMART & INTUITIVE wove
Ex35-26 every woman that had SPECIAL INTUITION wove the goats
Differs *1 *2 *3
COMMENTS
*1 These phrases are identical

*2 Goat weaving is identified with a SPECIAL INTUITION
apparently because it was more difficult (See the next
   footnote for an explanation)

*3 The Talmud in Shabbath explains that the weaving was done
    live off the goats.

Another Sefer I have, explains that Goat hair was thicker
than wool and requires a special skill to weave since it
is easier to weave thin threads (The book is THE MISHKAN &THE
HOLY GARMENTS by Rabbi Steinberg, loaned to me by the
family that I lained for last year)

In passing there are some more differences between these two
verses which we dont have explanations to and are not
explaining here (e.g. Ex35-25 says WOVE WITH HER HANDS...)
