EXAMPLES--These illustrate the 4 methods of using PLEASE
--------
EXAMPLE 1: Gn22-02a PLEASE can denote that...
==========
YOU ASK FOR SOMETHING **you** SAID YOU WOULDN'T DO As in
Gn22-02a "PLEASE sacrifice your son Isaac", EVEN THOUGH God
had promised to make him a great nation.
EXAMPLE 2: Nu10-31a PLEASE can denote that...
==========
YOU ASK FOR SOMETHING THAT **they** SAID THEY WOULDN'T DO
as in Nu10-31a "PLEASE reconsider and do come with us to
Israel", even though you just said no, nevertheless please
reconsider.
EXAMPLE 3: Gn27-22a PLEASE can denote a...
==========
SOCIAL PLEASE (emphasizes you are not demanding) as in
Gn27-19 >PLEASE get up< (vs Gn27-31 >Get up<). Thus
we conclude that the person who said >PLEASE GET UP<
was more polite while the person who did not say
>PLEASE GET UP< was more coarse (Jacob vs Esauv)
EXAMPLE 4: Gn50-17a PLEASE can denote that....
==========
YOU ASK FOR SOMETHING that you **don't deserve** as in
Gn50-17 "PLEASE forgive us", EVEN THOUGH we deserve to die
