methods to find patterns in several laws.

EXAMPLE

There are a variety of laws that respect the
feelings of inanimate objects or treat inanimate
objects like people. For example
-- we shouldnt undress before other PEOPLE (modesty)
-- we shouldnt undress before Temple STONES

-- We should kill a PERSON who slept immorally
-- We should kill a ANIMAL who slept immorally

-- We should kill idolatrous PEOPLE
-- We should destroy idolatrous TREES

-- PEOPLE should obey Gods laws
-- STONES should obey Gods laws

In these cases we use techniques of exaggeraion
(Modest even before stones) to emphasize the
importance of the law

In each case the purpose of the law is emphasize the
importance of humans behaving similarly.

To appreciate the list simply substitute the word HUMAN
for the CAPPED words in the verse. Thus

-- DONT EXPOSE NUDITY TO HUMANS

In other words the prohibition of nudity exposure to
stones emphasizes the importance of humans behaving
similarly.
