VERSE: Gn32-05a

There are 2 words for residing in Hebrew.
(1)YSHV means to RESIDE.
(2) GR means to STAY OVER (ie temporary).

Since Jacob who lived for 20 years with Laban had 2 wives and 20
children but nevertheless uses the phrase "I stayed over"
we infer that he felt uncomfortable
(because he was still "Observant" while Laban was not religious)

NOTES
-----
*1 This is the main proof of Rashi. As the Chizkuni notes
Rashi EXPRESSED this idea using a pun--but undoubtedly he
really believed in the above grammatical reason.
