VERSE: Gn22-03a

RULE: GETTING UP IN THE MORNING is a stylistic way of either
(a) indicating EAGERNESS
(b) indicating the aftermath of a prophetic dream
(c) indicating an attempt to avoid being seen.

RULE: When a leader HARNESSES HIS DONKEY HIMSELF (even though
he has servants) it stylistically indicates EAGERNESS

EXAMPLES:
--------
(1) Gn22-03 "And Abraham GOT UP IN THE MORNING & HARNESSED
HIS DONKEY" RASHI: These phrases show Abrahams eagerness
to perform Gods will (even though God asked Abraham to
sacrifice his son)

(2) Nu22-21a "And Bilam GOT UP IN THE MORNING & HARNESSED
HIS DONKEY" RASHI: These phrases show his eagerness to
go and attempt to curse/destroy the Jewish people

(3) Gn46-29 "And Joseph HARNESSED HIS DONKEY"
RASHI: This phrase shows his eagerness to meet his father

(4) Ex07-15 "Go to Pharoh IN THE MORNING, behold he goes out
to the Nile" RASHI: He went out in the MORNING so that no
one should see him*1

(5) Gn40-06 "And Joseph came to them in the morning"
(No Rashi) (It was the morning so the dream was fresh in
their mind)*2

NOTES
-----
*1 Rashi suggests that Pharoh performed his bodily functions
by the Nile in the morning---that way he didn't have to perform
them the rest of the day and people would think he was a god.
Hence he went out in the morning to perform his bodily functions
so that no one should see him.

*2 In the main posting all Verses where SOMEONE DID SOMETHING
IN THE MORNING are analyzed. There are 3 peculiar verses for
which there are weird Midrashim which however the above rules
greatly clarifies.
