The RashiYomi corporation hosts 2 newsletters
- Rashi-is-simple
- DailyRashi
- Currently both newsletters contain the same material
But differ in how frequently they are published
- ------------------- Rashi is Simple --------------------
- Rashi is Simple is published twice a week
- Each DIGEST contains 8-12 pages covering 6-8 Rashis
- Each DIGEST is composed of 1 or more POSTINGS
Each POSTING contains
- a VERSE -- the verse serves to IDENTIFY the posting--it is its name
- RASHIS COVERED indicating which Rashis are being covered
- SUCCINCT SUMMARY--an explanation of what Rashi is saying and why
- CLASSIFICATION--an indication of which RASHI RULE is being used
- LISTS -- lists of comparable roots, verses, or other items
As of Nov 2004, the SUCCINCT SUMMARY section is organized as follows
- FIRST: We state the GENERAL RASHI RULE USED (E.g. WORD MEANINGS)
- 2nd: We identify the Rashi SUBRULE USED (E.g. SYNONYMS)
3rd: We take the Rashi we are explaining and present
- The VERSE text--sometimes translations are approximate
- The RASHI text--sometimes translations are approximate
- Briefly show how the Rashi text implemented the RASHI RULE
- Indicate what the LIST supports (e.g. other examples of this rule)
- If necessary other supportive verses are brought
- Previous to Nov 2004 this information was there but not as explicit
If the new format is liked we will correct past issues
Not everyone has time to read everything: We offer READING ADVICE
- Reading the SUCCINCT SUMMARY (the BROWN) section suffices to cover everything
- If you have more time read next THE LISTS(BEIGE) and THEIR FOOTNOTES(BLUE)
These lists give supportive material
- If you have still more time read the LONGER FOOTNOTES (GREEN SECTION)
- As of Nov 2004, The SUMMARIES of which RASHIS and which LISTS
are presented in that issue is found on the bottom of the digest

- Currently the DailyRashi issues come directly verbatim from the Rashi-is-Simple postings
Each DailyRashi issue is either
- A Succinct Summary plus the First list from a Rashi-is-Simple posting
- Or a follow up List from a Rashi-is-Simple posting
- So if the original posting had a SUMMARY and 3 lists then
there would be 3 daily Rashis (SUMMARY+LIST1; LIST2; LIST3)
READABILITY To enhance READABILITY you can
- Visit the the Monthly Calendar
- All DailyRashis connected with one Rashi-is-Simple posting
are colored the same
- So if Rashi-is-Simple had 2 consecutive postings with 2 and 3 lists then
The first posting summary and its first list would be DailyRashi #1 in say blue
The second list of the first postings would DailyRashi #2 in blue
The 2nd posting summary and its first list would be DailyRashi#3 in beige
The 2nd list of the 2nd posting would be DailyRashi#4 in beige
The 3rd list of the 2nd posting would be DailyRashi#5 in beige
