VERSE: Ex28-08d
======================== Ex28-08d =======================
VERY BRIEF SUMMARY
------------------
Many Rashis typically explain meaning and grammar.
However some Rashis explore inferences from OTHER
VERSES.
In the LIST below we show how certain ambiguous terms
have their meaning clarified by one verse.
TYPICAL EXAMPLE
---------------
The Bible frequently uses the word calf which we know
means a young ox. We however do not know HOW YOUNG.
One verse speaks about a ONE YEAR CALF. From this
OTHER VERSE we infer that CALF in the Bible always
means a ONE YEAR OLD CALF.

=================== LIST250a ===========================
We present a list of verses where
the meaning of words in one verse are
illumined by the usage of these words
in other verses.
The classical example is the word CALF
which occurs several times in the
Torah(eg Gn15-09).
We know a CALF is a YOUNG OX/BULL
but we dont know HOW YOUNG. The details
are gives by Lv09-07d which shows that
CALFS are 1 year (And this derivation
is accepted legally)

NOTES
-----
*1 Ex13-20 Jews journeyed from Succoth after Exodus
Ex12-27 Exodus: Jews go from Raamsayth to Succoth
Nu33-05 Exodus, Then Raamsayth, THen Succoth
The point is that Nu33-05 makes it clear that
there were 3 places
- Exodus FROM Egypt
- TO Raamsayth
- TO Succoth.
Ex13-20 only mentions 2 of the places
Ex12-27 makes it sound like they left EGYPT, ie
they left RAAMSAYTH.
It is in fact common for places to have multiple
names. So Nu33-05 illumines that there were 3
distinct places
*2 ONE PIECE--in other words, not soldered from 2
pieces
See the following verses for uses of HARD
as meaning sculptored from one piece.
Nu04-02b Nu10-02e Ex25-18b Ex25-18c Ex25-31a
Ex25-31b
*3 Not sewn from 2 pieces.
*4 Rashi also comments on the two phrases in Ex28-08
-- The belt of the suit will be
-- LIKE IT (RASHI: Same materials)
-- FROM IT (RASHI: One piece woven (Not attached))
