With regard to the question of whether women have to daven on time, I would
use a conceptual approach. The prayers have several origins one of which is
the sacrifices (Rambam Prayer 1).

Hence, eg the daily communal offering was offered in the MORNING on behalf
of the WHOLE community. Hence women must say the prayers and it must be
said in the morning
