We now conclude this series on the 40 Rashis with ALL.
After reviewing the matter there are 5 rules. What we will
do is give a summary of one rule per issue so we will be
thru by the end of the week. We will close with a grand
summary. All this will be posted on the web site.
A reader completing this module will be able to comfortably
understand Rashis and talmudic passages with ALL
Most of the Rashis have been covered. In the header we will
mention anything new.
METHOD 1 OF TRANSLATING ALL

Thus Gn06-12a says ALL flesh became corrupted during
the flood era. Rashi says ALL flesh means not only
people but even animals and birds were corrupt

The following is new--answers to our previous exercises
ALL BELLY CRAWLERS--includes SNAKES as well as SNAILS
ALL CLAW WALKERS----includes SCORPIONS as well as BEETLES
ALL WINGED CREATURES--includes BIRDS as well as GRASSHOPPERS
In each case INSECTS were included.
I also bring to the readers attention Nu21-08b which
is elaborated on in the footnotes.

Thus the ALL includes even insects

*3 Rashi further FURTHER supports this with the alignment
(The Torah is speaking about a plague of BITING SNAKES
God told Moses to make a copper snake and those that look

Finally, Rashi in the name of the Talmud explains why "looking"
at a copper snake should cure---it symbolically referred to
"looking upwards and praying"

*5 This Rashi, besides being derived from the word ALL is further
supported by an alignment of introductory verses
