VERY BRIEF SUMMARY
------------------
One of Rashis 6 main goals is to explain
Grammar the same way modern Grammar books do.
Grammar deals with many topics. In this posting
we deal with the grammatical rules governing
sentences. Most Biblical verses are complete
sentences. However in certain rare cases TWO
or more Verses form ONE sentence.

EXAMPLE: Dt01-26:30
Dt32-29a Dt32-29b Dt32-27a Dt32-28 Dt32-30a
-------------------
- I wanted to destroy Jews
- But I didnt destroy them

------ BECAUSE Non Jews would say
------ ------- They, not God, did this

-------------- SINCE Non Jews are not smart
-------------- I infer they arent smart SINCE

---------------------- if 1 non jew pursues 1000 jews
---------------------- they would see this as an act of God

All Rashi does is show how these 8 or so clauses form a
complicated multi-verse sentence where certain clauses
JUSTIFY or PROVE preceding clauses.

In the above example Rashi does not explain MEANING
or GRAMMAR but rather Rashi explains STRUCTURE. This
is an important Rashi principle.

COMMENTS
*1 Rashi on the above verses does not explain MEANING
or GRAMMAR but rather explains STRUCTURE. The
Rashis on Dt32-29a Dt32-29b Dt32-27a Dt32-28 Dt32-30a
simply point out the above structure where each set
of verses is justified by verses that follow it.

LONGER FOOTNOTES

*10 In passing the Biblical text "For the non Jews have
no understand" which occurs in Dt32-28 is erroneously
list as a Rashi in Dt32-29a in Version IId of the Davka
CD on Rashi. In passing many Biblical texts differ
in their arrangement of BEGINNING and ENDING Rashis
