Alignment of Gn01-01 and Gn02-04 (This alignment confirms
Rashi on Gn01-14a) The alignment sheds meaning on the
Hebrew word ALEPH-TAUV---which seems to mean IN ALL DETAIL*10
VERSE PHRASE1 PHRASE2 PHRASE3 PHRASE4 PHRASE5
Gn01-01 God created ALL OF*2 Heaven and ALL OF*2 earth
Gn02-04 God created -------- Heaven and --------- earth
Differs *1 *2 *3 *2 *3
COMMENTS
*1 Both verses speak about creation of Heaven and earth

*2 The Hebrew word ALEPH-TAUV is present. This word is
normally NOT translated. However according to Rashi
and Rav Hirsch it refers to ALL DETAILS of an item
See the footnotes *11 for another example(To hint
at this translation we have used the translation ALL OF)

The alignment seems to indicate or hint that the
SEEDS of all of creation were made on the 1st day--each
subsequent day developed and fixed the items made
on the first day *12

*3 These words are the same in both verses
LONGER FOOTNOTES

*10 Rav Hirsch suggests an etymology for this translation
of ALEPH-TAUV. Rav Hirsch suggests that ALEPH-TAUV
comes from the root ALEPH-VAV-TAUV which means SIGN

Thus ALEPH-TAUV refers to the SIGNS OF AN ITEM
and hence can be translated as ALL OF See Footnote
*11 for another example

*11 eg The decalogue commandment HONOR ALL OF YOUR FATHER
and ALL OF YOUR MOTHER implies that eg one should
honor ones older brother. This fits in with
Rav Hirschs etymology since the OLDER BROTHER is
a SIGN and SYMBOL of the father

*12 In a previous digest, http://www.Rashiyomi.com/h19n11.htm
we for example showed that Gn01-07 speaks about FIXING
the SKY on the 2nd day of creation. Thus we see that
indeed subsequent days FIXED items made on the first day
